Sacco, damn him, turned out a great article on the basics of elemental shamans, and for a while I’ve been kicking around bits and pieces of 101-esque columns for all four druid specs. This was the last shove I needed to get that done. While I expect our new balance blogger (a.k.a. Murmurs, the person I will be forcing to do all my number-crunching in the future with bribes or, when necessary, threats) will address moonkin, I’ll cover bears, cats, and today, trees.A quick note on what I want to accomplish here: I’m addressing this to people with no prior knowledge of the spec who want the tools to become reasonably competent healers quickly. This morning we were given a pleasantly early notice regarding tomorrow’s maintenance downtime for North American and Oceanic realms. Realms will be going down at 3: 00 am PST, and are expected to be down until 11: 00 am PST at the earliest.Though we haven’t seen official word on the topic yet, it’s expected that the next wind¡n of Icecrown Citadel, the Plagueworks, ¿òåñ open tomorrow once realms come back online. This wind¡n will include the bosses Rotface, Festergut, and Professor Putricide. Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if we also saw a minor bug fix patch tomorrow, but only time will tell.If we hear anymore regarding either of those things throughout the day, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.Edit: I know how to use a calendar. aybe it speaks to the nostalgic Horde members more than the rest of us, but I think the Interactive Horde Onyxia Attunement Chain is probably Wowcrendor’s best work yet. It has the same subtle sense of humor shown in his previous work, but then takes it up a notch by speaking to one of the single most prominent, painful moments in any Horde member’s life.Like so much of Wowcrendor’s work, it’s not only the in-game references that make his work relay so much truth. It’s also the subtle nod to universal experiences. (For example, my favorite part is when you choose to not do the quest. If you go down that path, your guild leader yells at you to get your act together. C’mon, haven’t we all been there at one point or another?)As a note, make sure you do not simply play this video.
